I have joined CSC (formerly known as CSA) since July 2008. This post is about my experience in CSC, specially only on my division/group. Other group might be different. Many said CSC follows a Chinaman management with saying like "If it's not broken, don't change it".
First of all, talking about management, CSC encourages employees to propose and submit papers on their innovative ideas of what's gonna be the next big thing. Lately, we're talking about Going Green and Earth Hour this March 28. CSC also take part in the Corporate Social Responsibility in Green IT, which will be my potential research topic for MBA. Basically about making greener data centre (re-cyclable materials), better efficiency of power consumption through virtualization, etc. It then turns to be a business value proposition to client, a win-win idea for both society and customer.
Food wise, working in CSC Malaysia in PJ has limited choices for food, boring. CSC fellow knows exactly what I mean, either the food opposite UTAR, or M&M cafe, Malay food or opposite Honeywell. Once in a while, we will go out to Section 17 as well.
However, there are unlimited Milo, Nescafe, Nespray, Lipton in provided in pantry (refilled twice everyday). Whoever works in Call Centre has vending machine with "near free" beverages -> Rm0.10 (where can you find 10 cent drinks these day?).
